You’ve probably heard this before, but it’s worth repeating here: brushing is the most powerful way to improve your oral health and foil the onset of oral decay and disorders. For the greatest outcomes, it’s important to practice the greatest technique when brushing. Below are some tips to help make you a master brusher:
-Brush for at least 120 seconds! This might sound simple, but most adults don’t brush for that much time. To make sure that you’re tooth-brushing for at least two minutes per time, try keeping track of your tooth-brushing with a stopwatch or timer.
-Brush two times daily. While brushing once is awesome, you should be brushing twice per day to see the greatest results. Just like you wouldn’t want bacterial acids sitting on your teeth all night, you shouldn’t want acids eating away at your teeth during the day.
-Brush the outer-upper, then outer-lower, then inner-upper, and then inner-lower teeth in order. Making sure you brush in this order will help you get each area of your teeth your toothbrush can reach, and it’s adjusted to help you wash away bacteria and leftover debris efficiently.
